You may have heard about the R&B boy band made up of 5 scousers, after they won the MOBO’s Unsung award last year back in 2015.
The award helped the boys stamp their mark on the UK music scene, showcasing their talents. Since their award the name “MiC Lowry” is getting more and more popular, coming up to 2017, it looks like it’s the boy’s time to show off their amazing vocals and give the unfamiliar a proper introduction.
Made up of Delleile Ankrah, Kaine Ofoeme, Akia Jones, Michael Welch and Ben Sharples; the lads youtube mashup-covers continuously break the internet, covering the likes of Drake, Bryson Tiller, Musiq Soulchild and even Nines. They have the ability to make such songs unique, presenting their powerful tones and harmonies in the true boy band way.
The band previously toured with the legendary “Boys 2 Men” back in 2014 and is set to hit the road with pop royalty Justin Bieber this year supporting his tour.
But that’s just some of the bands accomplishments; in the past couple of years they have gained a huge following on social media, performed on the BBC introducing stage at Glastonbury and been nominated for BET’s “Best international newcomer” award. It’s only getting bigger and better for the boys.
Not to mention, they kick off their first solo mini tour this month, starting in London on the 22nd of September, then Liverpool, Birmingham and ending in Manchester.
The band embodies an authentic soul/R&B vibe, adding even more talent to the ever growing, talented UK R&B music scene.
They also just released their latest track titled “Oh Lord” available on iTunes.
